Take a ride on Sunrise Lift 1 from the base at 9,200′ up to the top of Sunrise peak, at 10,700′. This scenic lift ride takes about 7 minutes to reach the peak where you can experience some of the most expansive panoramic views in Arizona. The scenic lift is available for ages 2+.
Jump off two different platforms and experience seconds of freefall until you are caught by the airbag below. New jumpers must work their way up, starting at Level I before attempting Level II. The Airbag Jump is available for ages 13+.
Take a ride uphill on our “Magic Carpet,” up 50 vertical feet to the top. From there, hop on one of two side-by-side tracks and race a friend down the Bunny Hill slope on a tube at a total distance of around 300 feet! The tubing hill is for ages 6 and up.
The Sunrise Rock Climbing Wall is about 42 feet tall and features two different sides with varying rock climbing layouts. The wall is available for guests ages 4+ (subject to weight range restrictions)
This 18-hole course starts at 9,940′ above sea level, near Midway Café, and winds down the slopes to end on the Pinedale trail near the base. Since the course is lift-accessed, a Scenic Lift pass or Summer Adventure Pass is required for access. Disc rentals are available at the Sports Shop for $5.
Next summer families can experience the Sunrise Apache Alpine Coaster, with over 3,000 feet of track and breathtaking mountain views! This high-tech coaster is engineered by Wiegand, the world-wide leader in mountain coasters. It features individual carts where riders control their own speed with a hand brake as they fly down the mountain. Young children can also ride with a parent. Each cart has a top speed of 25mph and the carts automatically maintain a safe distance between each other. The coaster will be available to ride in both the summer and winter seasons.
If you love exploring forests on foot, the White Mountains Trail System is a perfect adventure for you. Located primarily in the Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside area, this extensive network offers over 200 miles of trails, all set at an average elevation of 7,000 feet. For those coming from sea level, be prepared for the invigorating experience of thinner air and higher altitudes.
The trail system is meticulously designed with a variety of primary loop trails that differ in length and difficulty. Connector trails and shortcuts offer even more options, ensuring that you can tailor your hiking experience to your preference and stamina.
The White Mountains Trail System is reserved for non-motorized use, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts. Along the way, you might encounter fellow hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and, during the winter months, cross-country skiers and snowshoers.
